Random Thought?? or Major Breakthrough??

If you're anything like me, you have tons of idea-provoking thoughts that enter your mind every day. Lately, I have found myself wondering which one of these is going to be "it". Then I ask myself, "Will any of them ever be 'it'?" I think not.

The minute you stop discovering things and having realizations is the minute your mind stops growing. If you're not having "ah-ha moments", as my new friend and mentor, Carlos Marin, calls them... you can't possibly be moving forward. Learning new things and getting excited to put them to use is all part of the entrepreneurial journey. You will most likely have many along the way. Some will be major breakthroughs. Some will be more subtle. Either way, we need to be mindful of their message.

Life has a funny way of giving us exactly what we ask for. If you've asked yourself an empowering question such as, "How do I build an empire doing the very thing I'd do for free?", you better be on your toes looking for the answer. That means keeping an eye out for an awesome opportunity, a concept, or even a cool idea. These ideas may or may not be so obvious, and they may even come in the form of a problem solving opportunity, so... my little twist on the oh-so-popular cliche: "If life hands you avocados, make guacamole!" =)

Bottom line is pay attention to the thoughts that pop into your head. Write them down so you can go back over them later and so that you wont forget them. You never know when one of those random thoughts is going to be a major breakthrough.

"When the going gets tough...

...THE TOUGH GET GOING!"
Today is the day that I realized what this means.

Life isn't easy. There are going to be complications and pitfalls. There are going to be adversities and hardships. You will succeed at some things. You will fail at others. In the end,.. it's all part of your story. With every step you take, be it forward or backward.. you are creating another footprint along the path of life. The more deliberate the step, the more clear your path becomes.

Knowing where we're headed is essential. If you're standing in the middle of the desert and everything around you looks the same with no destination in sight, you're likely to keep spinning in circles looking for that place of aim. But, if you don't find one, you will remain lost.

In a tough time recently, a good friend asked me, "What is your top priority?" and "What do you value most?" The answer was simple really. It just took a little clarity and a lot of focus to dig myself out of the rut and prioritize the chaos that was consuming me. With the 2 most important things in mind that I had to get accomplished right away, the world seemed a lot less overwhelming.

We all get boggled down sometimes. Set the foundation for what it is you're going to do when you feel it coming on, follow the steps, and GET GOING. You are tough. And if you plan your life so you know where you are going and how to get there, getting lost in the desert will be just another adventure to you. =)

What program should I launch next?

Well, I seem to have gotten off track with this whole blogging scenario. =) ... So much to say, so little time.

From here on out, I will make a list of the things I plan to blog about and set aside time in order to do so. Ideas have been flowing with massive current lately, and I definitely want to share and get your comments, so... this is my commitment to you.

I don't promise to write everyday. That'd be setting myself up for failure. I will, however, write frequently with the things you want to read. Let's take a vote.

My most recent focus is the discovery of this Alkalinity Diet that Anthony Robbins talked about in GTE. I am extremely curious about this and think other people are too. I would love to launch this on my page and get others to join in so we can all feel the luxury of optimal health. Would you want to be a part of this?? Watch the video below for more information.

Day 3: RESULTS WORKSHOP CONTINUED

Most of us have dreams...Only some of us have goals. "Goals are dreams with deadlines", and as directed in this program, I have set forth a massive action plan to acheive the 2 main goals that are most important to me, the most imperitive one being to be in my own home by Thanksgiving so I can host the holiday festivities! It's very rare that my family and I get together, but the holidays are something we never miss. I want to be able to ensure we have the best possible time.

In order for me not to acheive these goals, or at least move toward them, I would have to believe quite a few things that are falsifying the situation. First and foremost, I would have to believe that I need money in order to purchase my own duplex AND I would have to believe that no one would lend it to me. I would also have to believe that I won't be able to afford the payments or that I won't be able to do the job neccessary to be a landlord OR a homeowner. I don't believe any of these things.

What I do believe, however, is that my attaining my own home would make me BELIEVE I can do anything.... and the rest would be cake. =) I am a beautiful young woman who knows what she wants, and I am most grateful, not only for that I know I can have it, but also that I know how to get it.
I know that if I have an idea and share it with others with as much enthusiasm as I have for it, my excitement will catch on, and then, it's only a matter of numbers. The more no's I get, the more yes's I get. Rules of the game. =)

I just have to find a way to get it into my schedule. Make a list. Assign specific times of the day to accomplishing certain tasks, and stick to my schedule.... I make it sound so easy, don't I? Well, I guess I'll just have to fake it til I make it! If I continue to plan my day over and over again every day, I'll eventually wind up following it, won't I? I guess there's only one way to find out!

GET THE EDGE Day 3: So far, So Good =) Here's what we've done so far...

This is Day 3 of the Get the Edge program, and it's going great! There aren't as many people involved as I would've liked to have had, including one very important person, but those that are following are having great results so far!!

Day 1 was all about taking an Hour of Power to give time to ourselves to get up and MOVE, focus on the things in our lives that we're greatful for, and get excited about the day!! I think we each have our own way of doing this, and only we can decide what's going to work for us. For me, it's my daily workout. I am committed to one hour of focused exercise everyday. This is the best time for me to focus inward, gather my thoughts, and get geared up for the day! I'll concentrate hard, do incantations during Spin class, and yoga on Fridays will help to detox and cleanse my mind and body. Each day, I will JUMP out of bed, do 10 jumping jacks, and walk OUT of my house to take in deep breaths of fresh air. I don't know what it is for you, but I think that the first thing you do in the morning should be what puts you in the best mood to face the rest of your day. I love to dance, so I'm going to turn the music up and dance around as I gather everything together to leave for the gym. This will also be a great time to spend with my daughter. We love to sing and dance together. This will put her in a good mood too, and as all you parents out there are well aware...when baby is happy, we are happy. =)

Day 2 began the Results Workshop. ACTION is key, so Mr. Robbins has us be true to ourselves and come to terms with all the things that have been keeping us from accomplishing our goals thus far. 5 rationalizations that I use frequently are: 1.) No time, 2.) I can do it later, 3.) I'll start fresh Monday, 4.) This is the last time.., and 5.) It's okay because...

It's never okay. "A real decision is measured by the fact that you've taken a new action. If there's no action, then you haven't truly decided." Well, I have DECIDED to take control. One thing we learned in this results section is just how to do that. After pinpointing the rationalizations we make, we are to get disturbed with the things in our life that we're not following through on. I have plenty of those. From my finances to my body, my relationships to time management, lack of experiences with friends and lack of accomplishments, I plan to tackle these areas with full force.

I have committed to changing each of these areas of my life, and I'm going to focus on them, one at a time via this blog. I'm wearing my heart on my sleeve here, guys. This is the ultimate accountibility.

"The Best Way to Predict the Future is to Create It".....the story

I started with a facebook page, attempted to read a how to of facebook marketing book, fell into a Twitter one instead, and the rest is history. When I first realized I had to get in on this, what I like to call "frenzy that is social media", I didn't know where to begin. In fact, I felt so overwhelmed, it almost angered me. Spending more money on education for something I didn't really know anything about did not appeal to me. I almost turned the other cheek.

Then one day, I had an idea. Having recently reconnected with an old business partner, I got really excited about life. I reunited with yet another old friend that same week and the mastermind had been created. At the same time, I had started listening to an audio book that I was just thrilled with. I felt back on track and ready to conquer the world!

This new found excitement moved me so much, I was determined not to fall off this time. I got to pondering how I could prevent that from happening when I realized it only took one thing...accountability. And that was the realization that started the movement.

I had had accountability partners before, but none of them seemed to do the trick. They didn't really hold me accountable. I needed to go bigger. Much bigger. That's when I decided to blast myself to everyone I knew what I was doing and why I was doing it. "The world is my stage", I told myself. If I succeed or if I fail, everyone will see it happen. Surely this would light a fire under me!

I called one of my partners, Lisa Trunkenbolz http://bit.ly/8tZLH , to tell her about my idea immediately. Low and behold, she had had the same thought process! We began brainstorming instantaneously and decided we would invite others to join in. I knew there had to be more of us that have had the same problem sticking to regimens they put forth for themselves, so I planned a movement where we could ALL"learn, grow, and succeed together".

"The Best Way to Predict the Future is to Create It" is my first attempt at establishing this movement through Social Media. It took a while for me to get the courage to create the page , but it is as they say it is. Once you take that first step, momentum kicks in, and you can hardly stop it if you wanted to. Now, I plan to do many books and programs, charity events, live shows, and more! Anything and everything I can think of that will help my fellow entrepreneurs make the most of themselves and make their way to the top! Join in! I'd love to hear from you!

Is yours as accurate as mine???

You can’t stand restrictions and aim to keep your freedom at all costs. You believe there is a wrong way and a right way of doing things and will stick up for what you believe in. One of your strongest weapons is laughter or ridicule which you do not hesitate to pull out of your formidable verbal arsenal. But you are forgiving and tend to give second chances and will not quit valuable relationships easily. You are a high speed player who gets annoyed with slow responses, you are bright, perky and alert, but can come off abrasive. You tend to get stressed easily and lash out with irony or sarcasm. You have quick impulses and a fertile imagination and are constantly dreaming up new plans or schemes – but sometimes you tend to forget pressing matters such as paying the bills. In your lifetime you may leave enough unfinished projects to occupy a dozen people and not meaning to you often break promises. You are emotionally volatile and not at all shy about verbalizing your discontent in fact you can become a constant complainer. You are a loyal partner but tire of routine and often need a change of scene. You are not above emotional manipulation and turn on the charm when you want to get your way. You have a high sex appeal and few can resist your charm. Strengths: Witty – Charismatic – Technically Gifted Weaknesses: Tyrannical – Manipulative – Complaining .
